About The Event

Our general member meetings occur the 2nd Thursday of each month in the event space at Union 32 Craft Tap in Eagan, MN. The meeting starts at 7pm, but folks often gather at 6:30pm for food and drinks before the meeting. This month's topic is polio in honor of World Polio Day on October 24, 2019 (see accompanying trivia event). This month's speaker is Kyle Haugen, a Prior Lake Rotarian and former District Governor. He's coming to enlighten us on what polio is, it's devastating impact on the world, and how Rotary is making a difference. Pro Tip: If you want to know more about the reason behind out Pints for Polio event on October 24th, this is a great night to find out more What's the deal with "polio"? This virus is spread person to person, typically through contaminated water. It can attack the nervous system, and in some instances, lead to paralysis. Although there is no cure, there is a safe and effective vaccine – one which Rotary/Rotaract and our partners use to immunize over 2.5 billion children worldwide. #EndPolio Learn more about Polio and World Polio Day: https://www.endpolio.org
