About The Event

Our general member meetings occur on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Due to the current COVID-19 prohibition on gatherings, we have moved our meetings online. Please join us on Zoom on Tuesday, April 14th. Folks can gather at 6:30 to chat, and our presentation will begin at 7 p.m. With the 50th anniversary of Earth Day occurring April 22, 2020, our topic will be the environment. Our speaker is Bethany Esse. Ms. Esse is the President-Elect for the Twin Cities Rotary EcoClub, and is a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, a global network of activists committed to spreading awareness of the climate crisis and working for solutions to the greatest challenge of our time. She was trained with over 900 other citizen activists in March of 2017 in Denver by former Vice-President Al Gore and climate scientists to tell the story of climate change and to inspire communities everywhere to take action. She also served as a mentor at the Climate Reality Training in Minneapolis in August of 2019. In this presentation, Bethany will cover the causes of climate change, the impact it is having on our world, and the solutions that are available to halt, and reverse, global warming.
