Service is one way South Metro Networking. It's because we part of Rotaract. Following a motto of "Service Above Self," Rotaract clubs around the world devote energy to serving and helping, all while members participate in life-changing experiences and build lasting friendships.
The amazing thing about this club is that it's new, launching in January 2019. All of the world's nearly 11,000 Rotaract clubs were new once, and it's at the beginning when a club's charter members have the opportunity to build a vision for what will make their club unique in the area of service.
But you don't have to do this alone. The Rotary Clubs of Lakeville and Prior Lake have stepped up with resources to get things started, and their community leaders have a solid history of service. These relationships will be valuable tools as South Metro Networking enters into a strong launch.
Service could be as simple as mentoring high school students or as ambitious as writing a grant to implement a water project in Africa. With The Rotary Foundation's resources, and having spent $3 billion on life-changing projects already, club members can tap funds to make a larger impact in the community, and in the world.
